As a professional custom photographer, my goal is to capture the AUTHENTICITY. of my client’s relationships in a photojournalistic way. I collaborate with YOU. to customize each session and create an environment that allows for the FAMILIARITY. COMFORT. and TRUST. necessary to RELAX. and ENJOY. the MOMENT. For those individuals that know me well, traditional is not a typical word that would be used to describe me. Upon request I will take your family portrait, but I absolutely prefer to CAPTURE. those genuine, candid moments in between! The photographs where everyone is looking at the camera are wonderful to have, but those that are a focus of what is ACTUAL. NATURAL. and REAL. are the works of art that make THE WALL. I love shooting outdoors in the natural light and am eager to explore parks|city architecture|farms|historic sites etc. to find fitting venues for clients. For the “little ones” involved and those “new” to this world, shooting in the comfort of your own home is a popular option. I have no PREFERENCE. of service, just PERSPECTIVE. to offer.

As each service is unique, session times are allocated accordingly and will vary. MATERNITY. sessions are typically scheduled around 32-36 weeks of pregnancy (beginning of 3rd trimester). Due to the unpredictability of delivery, NEWBORN. sessions are tentatively scheduled months in advance and typically take place in the comfort of your own home within 10 days of birth when newborns are very sleepy! Popular milestones for BABIES|CHILDREN. sessions include 3 month | 6 month | 9 month| 1 year | 2 year. Here is a little glimpse of MY STORY. I am a busy mother of three who loves to CAPTURE. those awesome MEMORIES. whether it be the good, the bad, or the ugly! I have vivid childhood memories of sitting down with these giant photo albums my mother had put together for the five of us. Over the years they have been handled so much they are now falling apart at the binding. Looking, laughing, teasing and crying at all the moments inside brought our family close at such an emotional level. These photo albums have a reason for being created, a purpose. PURPOSE. is a word that I often think about, and in my post high school graduation years began to dwell on quite a bit. “Just what is my PURPOSE. here?” “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I really was not SURE. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management|Marketing after being denied a place in the school of Art & Design and changing my major from pre-Med. Surely I would find a job with such a broad degree, was my train of thought. My first full time position out of college was Manager-in-Training at Abercrombie & Fitch. (I love fashion & the color GRAY.) LOYAL. is a word that describes me. I spent 14 years working for A&F where I had many positions including Store Manager, District Manager, Recruiter and Visual Merchandising Coordinator. I was handed a camera in all positions to fulfill my duties, but really did not EMBRACE. it at the time. My amazing husband, Christopher, is responsible for purchasing my first CANON DSLR, that not too long after the purchase date, our yellow labrador Logan chewed in puppy rage. The replacement came a few years later right before the birth of our first son, Cohen. I certainly excelled at photographing the merchandise, models and managers at A&F, but now having a permanent muse I began to develop the PASSION. that led me here. I left Abercrombie after my daughter Rhea was born to become the stay-at-home mom. To break up the monotonous days of feeding babies, changing diapers and picking up toys, we would pack up for daily adventures, camera in hand. It was one Saturday as I was visiting my hairstylist that the PHOTOGRAPHY. business idea transpired. I began taking photography courses online and started with some REAL. clients, not just family. Soon after moving to Cumming, GA, I gave birth to our son Rhett. SILENT H. became an official LLC soon thereafter. It was just an ordinary day when I realized that my 3 children all had a “silent” h in their name. (Later to recognize my husband’s name also falls on the list with a “silent” h) Christopher, Cohen, Rhea and Rhett are my LIFE. They have loved, supported, helped and critiqued me every STEP. of the way. It has been said to me several times that not many people DO. know exactly what they want to BE. in regards to career. Just KNOW. that each job will lead you to the NEXT. chapter in your life. It is all a JOURNEY.
